This development represents an opportunity for us to make a huge difference in our community!
This is an incredibly exciting project - a unique partnership between Glyn School and Epsom & Ewell Colts Football Club. We have the opportunity to significantly enhance the facilities at the Priest Hill site, to include a full size FA approved 3G football pitch and the redevelopment of the existing pavilion building. This is a major project with the 3G pitch costing in the region of £1,000,000. However, Surrey FA and the Football Foundation are very keen to develop grass roots football in our area. As such they are likely to be our primary funding partner and will bring significant financial support to the project.
The other aim of the Priest Hill Football Development Centre is the remodelling of the existing Priest Hill Pavilion to provide a home for Epsom & Ewell Colts and an opportunity for them to expand their football provision to boys and girls from across the area. The Colts are incredibly successful and have grown considerably in recent years - they need a permanent place to call home! The remodelled pavilion can benefit our community in so many ways - our training room can be used by local businesses, schools, clubs and groups. The community function space can be used for sporting themed birthday parties, yoga or dance classes. Our association with Chelsea FC Foundation will help us deliver high quality, professional football training and development to boys and girls throughout the area.

This really is a project that can benefit everyone in our community. However, we need your support! We need to demonstrate that we have made efforts to contribute financially towards the project cost. We have multiple users of the new facility and many of these local clubs and groups have written to us to express their support and interest in hiring the pitch when it is available. Research carried out for the Local Football Facilities Plan has highlighted the shortage of all-weather playing surfaces in the locality - with your help we can bring this exciting new facility to Priest Hill.
The Priest Hill Football Development Centre aims to establish a hub for football and sporting excellence, where first class facilities, coaching and support can nurture and inspire young people of all abilities. The partnership between Glyn School and Epsom & Ewell Colts Football Club has a shared vision; one that aims to instill a joy of sport within our communities and one that ensures these facilities are accessible to all.
Glyn School in Epsom, is a successful and growing secondary school, one of 41 schools within GLF Schools Multi Academy Trust. Glyn School has over 1,700 pupils and there are over 16,000 pupils within the other GLF schools.
Epsom and Ewell Colts FC is an FA Charter Standard Club with over 700 registered players in 50 teams. The club has an ambitious development plan and is experiencing significant expansion year on year.
